Colossians 1:18 – Christ, First Over His Church
I love the church. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ then you are a part of God’s great family. Each person has a special role and responsibility to help others grow and mature in their relationship with Jesus. You are important to this church. How can you “one another” someone today, and be the church?

    We finish our series “Songs of the Broken Hearted” talking about an issue at the root of every broken heart – sin. No one has escaped experiencing brokenness in some way, including God. Because of God’s love for guilty sinners, Jesus became sin for us so that we could be made righteous in Him. This ultimate act of love is our reminder forever that God is there for us in our emotional heartache.

    It’s not fair! How come it seems like those that are doing wicked things seem to be doing better than us? How come they are further ahead in life than we are? Psalm 73 reminds us that God will bring justice in His timing. Those that follow God need to run to Him and God will show up.

    Does life have you struggling to keep your head above water? Stress has a way of consuming and controlling our lives. Expectations, gossip, money, time, and relationships, among many other things, can cause a significant amount of stress in our lives. What if we stopped trying to manage our stress and instead allowed ourselves to break and take the pieces of our lives to God? What if you saw every situation through the lens of God’s Word? God is for you. He wants what is best for you. And after we have done all we can do through His strength, all we can say is God, I trust you.

    Have you ever asked yourself, "God, I believe you, but what is happening in my life right now?" What do you do when the world is plotting your demise? In the midst of hate, we can praise God. We each need to remember that God is for me. God's love will always overcome hate.
