Colossians 2:11-15 – What A Savior!

Many of us are familiar with the feeling and situation of debt. No matter what we try to do to get free, we seem to just dig ourselves a bigger hole. When it comes to our relationship with God, we might feel like the debt we owe God is too big to ever pay. But we also know that it will have to be paid eventually. What if we could be debt free? Praise God that Jesus Christ paid our debt in full and nailed the list of all the charges against us to the cross. Sin does not have any power over us anymore!

    Colossians 2:8-10 – Careful!
Everything that we need is in Christ. Many things will try to add to or take away from this simple truth. If we are not careful we will find ourselves being led astray. Be free from the captivity of this world. Be free in Christ.

Life is a journey. We can take each step by faith grounded in truth. If our lives are rooted in what God has done for us and being built up and established in faith, we will live thankful lives. May God be the source and the strength of our daily walk with God.

    Colossians 2:1-5 – A Labor for Love
We all love to do something. God gave Paul a special love and desire to help people mature in their faith in Jesus Christ. He cared deeply that all people would be encouraged and knit together as they followed Jesus. More people would mature in their faith if we took the time to encourage someone today.

Paul served God as best as he could with the goal of presenting every person complete in Christ Jesus. He did this all by relying on God’s power working in him. What is God’s power working in you to do?

This Christmas we remember that God came to us. He came full of grace and truth. We don’t measure up to God’s perfect standard, but He loves us and forgives us. When we turn to Jesus he receives us even though we don’t deserve it and works in us to make us who He created us to be.
