This Christmas we remember that God came to us. He came full of grace and truth. We don’t measure up to God’s perfect standard, but He loves us and forgives us. When we turn to Jesus he receives us even though we don’t deserve it and works in us to make us who He created us to be.

Does life have you struggling to keep your head above water? Stress has a way of consuming and controlling our lives. Expectations, gossip, money, time, and relationships, among many other things, can cause a significant amount of stress in our lives. What if we stopped trying to manage our stress and instead allowed ourselves to break and take the pieces of our lives to God? What if you saw every situation through the lens of God’s Word? God is for you. He wants what is best for you. And after we have done all we can do through His strength, all we can say is God, I trust you.

Life is prone to crisis. The uncertainty can cripple you. But if we choose to run to God in our desperation He will refresh our soul. Nothing satisfies like God.

Defeat does not have to derail your life. May we not let what we feel or what we are experiencing determine the course of our life. But may we think about the truth about what God has done. Believers in Jesus Christ already stand in victory. Find a way today to remember God’s loyal love for you.

Many of us have experienced a significant loss at some point in our lives. What happens when our hearts experience the heartbreak of grief? We physically feel the effects and wonder where God is. Grief might not be “good,” but we can have faith that God will help us experience “purposeful grief.” May our moments of sorrow prepare us for great spiritual impact.
