I’m New to the gospel

Thank you for visiting our website. We hope that you have received some good information about our church. This page is dedicated to telling you the greatest information you could ever hear. This news can and will change your life!

The word Gospel just simply means Good News:

  • The Bible says that the Good News is “that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).”
Gospel = Good News!

Now, you’re probably asking yourself why that is such great news?

Well, it’s good news because the Bible first of all tells us some bad news:
  • “for all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
  • and that “the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23)
So unless something has happened to change our lives, all people earn death because of sin. The bad news get’s even worse, in that sin not only brought physical death, it also brings spiritual death. Spiritual death is being eternally separated from God forever.

That is why the Gospel is Good News! It is Great News because Jesus died in our place!

  • “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
God loves each one of us so much, that He sent his only Son to earth to die in our place. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for sin with His life. Because He is God, He was able to conquer death and rise again from the grave.

The Great News is that  at the moment you trust in Jesus Christ your sins are completely forgiven. As a result, you are now eternally apart of God’s family because you are born of God.

  • “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on His name, who were born…of God.” (John 1:12-13)
God loved you so much He sent His son, Jesus, to die for you - John 3:16

The Bible says in Romans 10:9 – “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Confessing and believing means that you:
  • Believe that Jesus Christ is Savior.
  • Confess that you are a sinner and are in need of God’s forgiveness.
  • Repent, which means to change the way you think about Jesus as you now seek to obey His Word.
You can pray and be forgiven right now, where ever you are. Jesus loves you more than you will ever know, and He wants to forgive you. He wants to come into your life and be your Savior. Just tell God that you know you’re a sinner but that you believe that Jesus died for your sins. Tell Him you want Jesus to save you… and He will.
