"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Godly sorrow produces repentance which leads to salvation. When you are in a posture of spiritual mourning because you know you are spiritually bankrupted, know that Christ has set you free, and that Jesus will restore you and give you comfort. There is no better place to be than in the loving arms of Jesus.

Believers, rest assured, we will not be here for that terrible Day of the Lord, the Church will be caught up to be with him before that time. But Chapter 4 of Malachi is a call for God's people to wake up and be ready for Christ's return. It is time for each of us to wake up to God's relentless love, to have an authentic relationship with Him, and to trust that what He is doing in us and through us will change our lives forever.

Where is God when people who do evil things seem to be doing so well in life? Sometimes, God doesn’t seem to be a God of justice. This part of the book of Malachi helps us wake up to the long view of God’s justice. May we be in the group of people that God refines and does not judge.
